The points you collect in each duel lift you up the standings. Your best match of the day is added to your monthly total. Private duel matches do not count.

There is not one leaderboard on GuessClash but several, one for each competitive mode, and they are kept strictly apart. Duel, arena, Colosseum, Hippodrome and the Champions League each have their own table, so a player who lives in the arena never crowds out somebody who only duels. Pick a league at the top of the page and the standings, the past winners and the archive all follow your choice.
Every league is scored the same way. Your daily total is your best single result of that day rather than the sum of everything you played, which is the important detail: grinding twenty mediocre matches will not out-score one excellent one. Monthly, yearly and all-time tables are built by adding those daily bests together, so consistency over a month beats one spectacular afternoon. The same rule applies in every league, which keeps the tables readable and stops a single lucky match from deciding a season.
When a period closes the top three are rewarded automatically β a trophy for first place, medals for second and third β and the winners are announced on the page along with a notification to the players themselves. Nothing has to be claimed. Your own position is always shown, even when it is nowhere near the top, and the archive keeps every past day, month and year for anyone who wants to check an old result.
Private matches are deliberately excluded from all of it. A room you created for friends never touches the standings, which means you can play as badly as you like among people who know you. Everything else counts, including the quiet modes: the experience from a solo word puzzle or the daily crossword game still moves your title and your badges even though it does not enter a league table. The leaderboards exist for the competitive word games; the rest of the site rewards you in its own way.
