Cookie Policy

1. What cookies and local storage are

A cookie is a small text file a site saves in your browser. Local storage does a similar job, but the information stays in your browser and is not sent to the server with every request. The Platform relies mostly on local storage, so most of what we keep never leaves your device unless the game explicitly sends it.

2. What we store in your browser

2.1 Strictly necessary — the game will not work without these

• Sign-in session (kt_token, kt_uid, kt_user) — your sign-in token, your player id and a short summary of your profile, so you stay signed in and your profile appears instantly. Removed when you sign out.
• Guest identity (kt_player_id, kt_name) — lets you play as a guest before creating an account.
• Language (kt_lang, a cookie) — the language you chose, so the site opens in it next time. Kept for one year.
• Invitation (kt_invite_code, kt_invite_src, kt_invite_dev) — the invite link you arrived from and a random device key that stops the same device from claiming invitation rewards repeatedly.

2.2 Preferences and game state — these remember your choices

• Theme (kt_theme) — dark, light or another theme.
• Sound and music (kt_sound, kt_music) — whether they are on, and at what volume.
• Game state — for example today's puzzle in progress, which tips you have already seen and how many matches you have played since the last ad, so the game does not repeat itself.
• Visitor key (gc_visitor) — a random key used to limit likes and comments from guests. It is stored on our side only in a salted, hashed form.

If these are deleted, the game still works; your choices simply return to their defaults.

2.3 Your cookie choice

• Cookie choice (kt_cookie_consent) — remembers whether you accepted or declined visit statistics and ad measurement, so the banner does not reappear on every visit.

3. Visit statistics and ad measurement

These tools load only if they are switched on (see the status under each) and you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you decline, or never answer, none of them is loaded. Your name or email is never sent to them. Details of what they collect are in our Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — visit statistics, with your IP address shortened. Google privacy policy.

Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc) — measures which Facebook and Instagram ads bring new players. Meta privacy policy.

TikTok Pixel (_ttp) — measures which TikTok ads bring new players. TikTok privacy policy.

4. Advertising

The game is free, and ads keep it that way. We use Google AdMob inside the mobile app and Google AdSense on the website. These services may set their own cookies or use your device's advertising identifier to measure ad performance and, where you have consented, to personalise the ads you see. Google privacy policy.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in your Google ad settings, your Meta ad preferences, the privacy settings of the TikTok app, or your device settings on Android and iOS. Doing so does not remove ads — it only makes them non-personalised.

5. Other third-party services

• Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — only if you allow notifications: a service worker and a device token are stored so notifications can reach you.
• Sign in with Google — only when you use that button. Google uses its own cookies to verify your session.
• Google reCAPTCHA — the “I'm not a robot” check, where it is switched on for sign-up. Google uses cookies and interaction data to tell people from automated programs.
• Google Fonts — the site's typefaces are loaded from Google servers.

How these services handle data is governed by Google's own privacy policy and is outside our control.

6. What we do not use

• Social media tracking tools other than the Meta and TikTok pixels described above.
• Selling your personal data to anyone.

7. Your cookie choice

When any optional tool is switched on, a notice appears at the bottom of the page on your first visit. Nothing optional loads until you choose “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time with the button below; if you withdraw consent, the tools stop sending data immediately.

Strictly necessary and preference items are required for the game to work and cannot be switched off. They are not shared with third parties.

8. How to clear or block them

Signing out removes your sign-in session and profile summary. To clear everything, use your browser's site-data tools:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data
• Safari: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Careful: deleting the strictly necessary items signs you out. If your account has no email and password yet, your session is its only key — clearing it may make that account unrecoverable. Blocking all cookies may prevent you from signing in at all.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the Platform gains new features. The current version is always published here, and the date at the top changes with it.
